AGORA
Description
Agora is a short game centred around a character with social anxiety. The brief for this game was to create a level design for a game centred around a memory of a time in your life. Before studying games I studied at another university,
where I struggled with anxiety and depression and Agora is based upon my memory of that time. The player character having to leave their warm room to make a short trip to a local pizzeria, and deal with encounters with NPCs
as they go.
My aim with the level design was to create an unnerving experience that would make the player want to return to the safety of the room they began in. I also used the project to learn some post processing techniques, which I used to distort the player character's vision when they got near to NPCs.
